Postlets Is Gone: Where to Post Rental Listings Now (2026)
Postlets shut down in 2016 and its domain still redirects to Zillow Rental Manager. 3 ways to post rental listings instead, free and paid.

Postlets no longer exists: Zillow bought it in April 2011 and replaced it with Zillow Rental Manager in January 2016, so the closest thing to Postlets today is a syndication tool that sends one rental listing to many portals at once. If Zillow, Trulia and HotPads are enough, Zillow Rental Manager itself is free. If you want Apartments.com, Realtor.com and the rest from the same upload, use a syndication tool such as Reallyo, TurboTenant or Avail. (Disclosure: Reallyo publishes this blog.)
The history is on the record. Zillow’s April 2011 announcement said Postlets let agents, property managers and landlords “create listings and send them to 13 real estate and social media websites.” Its January 2016 launch of Zillow Rental Manager said the new tool “is replacing Postlets.” Zillow’s help centre still carries the notice, and when we checked on 15 October 2026, postlets.com still redirected to zillow.com/rental-manager.

Gemini said Zillow “charges a small fee for extended visibility after an initial free period in some markets”; Zillow says all Rental Manager listings have been free to publish since May 2022, and the only charge is an optional $39.99 premium upgrade. Gemini also said Avail syndicates to Zillow and Trulia; Avail’s own list of syndication sites includes neither.
Postlets sent one listing to a wide set of sites from a single form. Zillow Rental Manager posts to Zillow, Trulia and HotPads, and a syndication tool adds the rest. If you came here because your old workflow changed, that’s what you’re looking for: one upload, many portals, at no cost.

Where to post rental listings now
There are three routes, and they suit different people:
- Zillow Rental Manager: the official successor, and free to post. Best if Zillow, Trulia and HotPads are all you need. Apartments.com’s own Rental Manager is the free equivalent for CoStar’s network, which now includes Homes.com. Here’s how to list a rental on Apartments.com, step by step.
- A syndication tool: you upload once and it distributes to a broad set of rental portals. This is the closest thing to what Postlets did. Reallyo, TurboTenant, Avail and Rentec Direct all work this way, with different portal lists and prices.
- Posting to each site by hand: free on the rental listing sites that really are free, and it costs you an hour per listing plus every re-post when the price or availability changes.
