Free Single-Property Website Templates (2026): The Best One Is Hiding on Wix
We checked every real-estate template on Wix, Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace and the free HTML libraries, then ran the best ones through Lighthouse. Only a handful are true single-property designs — and the best free one is a Wix template almost nobody writes about.
Webflow has 11,409 templates. 363 of them are real estate. Two are free. Squarespace has 11 real-estate templates and none of them are free. WordPress returns 210 results for “real estate” and exactly one is a genuine single-property design.
Single-Property Website Templates: Key Facts
How many free single-property real estate templates does Wix offer?
Answer: FiveThe article states that Wix has 42 real-estate templates total, and five of them are single-property designs, making it the platform with the most free single-property options. What is the asking price of the property featured in the Wix Simple template demo?
Answer: $2,300,000The article explicitly states the demo property details when introducing the Wix Simple template as the best option for single-property sites.Which template scored the lowest performance rating on Lighthouse mobile testing?
Answer: Squarespace PalermoThe performance comparison table shows Squarespace Palermo with a score of 38, which is lower than all other tested templates, making it the slowest.
Then there’s Wix, which has a template built around one house at 500 Terry Francine St — a real address, a $2,300,000 asking price, a five-image gallery, a background video tour and a working “Schedule a Tour” booking calendar. You can publish it for free. It shows up in approximately zero “best real estate template” roundups.
We went through all of them: every real-estate template on Wix, Webflow, Squarespace and the WordPress.org directory, plus the free HTML libraries (TemplateMo, Colorlib, HTML5 UP, BootstrapMade). This is what’s actually out there, what “free” really costs on each platform, and the one we’d use.
The short answer
| Pick | Platform | Genuinely free? | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Real Estate Landing Page (Simple) | Wix | Yes — free plan publishes it | One home for sale. The only template anywhere with an address, a price and a tour-booking calendar |
| Homura | Webflow | Yes — and it fits the free plan | A designer-grade one-pager, and the best-structured page here |
| 591 Villa Agency | TemplateMo (HTML) | Yes — no attribution, no strings | Speed, and self-hosting free forever |
| Palermo | Squarespace | No — $19/mo | The best-designed one, if you’ll pay |
We measured them, not just looked at them
Every roundup rates templates on how they look. Looks are the one thing you can judge from the screenshot yourself. So we ran each demo through Lighthouse on mobile and read its rendered HTML, to score the things that decide whether the page ranks, gets quoted by AI, and turns a visitor into a showing.
| Template | Speed (Lighthouse mobile) | LCP | Page weight | Structured data | Words | Image alt text |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| TemplateMo 591 | 78 | 4.6s | 15 KB | none | 563 | 0% |
| Webflow Homura | 76 | 6.9s | 44 KB | FAQPage, Review, Offer, Person | 678 | 96% |
| Wix Stylish (wh-1067) | 67 | 11.8s | 3.9 MB | LocalBusiness, PostalAddress | 537 | 6% |
| Wix Simple (wh-1113) | 55 | 10.5s | 3.0 MB | ImageObject only | 203 | 21% |
| Squarespace Palermo | 38 | 10.0s | 129 KB | WebSite only | 116 | 80% |
Lighthouse 12, mobile emulation, run against each template’s own public demo in September 2026. Demo content differs from what you’ll publish, so treat these as the platform’s floor, not a verdict on your finished site.
Three things fall out of that table, and none of them are visible in a screenshot.
The prettiest template is the slowest. Squarespace’s Palermo scores 38 on mobile with a 0.587 cumulative layout shift — that number means the page visibly jumps around while it loads, which Google counts against you and which makes a buyer’s thumb miss the button. It has the best SEO score of the five (92) and the worst performance by a distance.
Wix’s pages are enormous. The Simple template ships 3 MB of rendered HTML and the Stylish one 3.9 MB — roughly 70× TemplateMo’s 15 KB. That’s the cost of the drag-and-drop builder, and it’s why both take over ten seconds to paint their main image on mobile.
Only one template is built to be quoted. Homura ships real structured data — FAQPage, Review, Offer, Person — with 678 words and alt text on 96% of its images. AI answer engines lift from pages they can parse: headings, schema, and actual sentences. Palermo has 116 words and one WebSite tag. TemplateMo has no schema and no alt text at all. If you care whether ChatGPT can describe your listing, that gap is the whole ballgame.
What each one is good at
- Best converting: Wix Simple. It’s the only one whose call to action is a live booking calendar rather than a contact form, and the only one that puts an address, a price and room counts above the fold. It also has the thinnest content on the page (203 words) and effectively no structured data — so it converts the visitors it gets, but does the least to earn them.
- Best for being found and cited: Webflow Homura. Proper heading structure, near-complete alt text, real schema, and the second-fastest score.
- Fastest: TemplateMo 591. A 15 KB page that paints in 4.6 seconds on throttled mobile. It’s also the emptiest — no schema, no alt text, no form on the details page. Great bones, and you do the wiring.
- Best looking: Palermo, and it isn’t close. It’s also the slowest and the thinnest but one. That’s the trade.
- Best for a development with unit types: Wix Stylish — the only one with floor plans, and the only one carrying
LocalBusinessandPostalAddressschema, which is exactly the markup that helps a page rank for its own address.
Why single-property templates are so rare
Most “real estate template” lists are actually agency-website lists. The distinction matters: an agency template is built around a portfolio of listings — search filters, listing grids, agent bios. A single-property template is built around one property: a hero shot of the house, the address, the price, the rooms, and one thing to do next.
Almost every free template is the first kind. Here’s the count:
- Webflow — 363 real-estate templates, 2 free. Its Property Management subcategory has zero free templates.
- WordPress.org — 210 results for “real estate”, and one genuine single-property design.
- Squarespace — 11 in the Real Estate & Properties topic. Four of those aren’t property sales at all (interior design, architecture, home builders).
- Wix — 42 real-estate templates, five single-property ones.
- Colorlib — 39 free real-estate templates and, having read the description of all 39, not one single-property option.
A warning on the WordPress directory specifically: search it for “single property” and you’ll get 15 themes, nine of which use that exact phrase. Most are keyword-stuffing the directory search. Four of them — Real Estate Villa, Apartment, Real Estate Realista and NexProperty — come from the same author and share identical boilerplate descriptions. All four are multi-listing directory themes. The phrase in the listing means nothing.
Wix: the one that actually does the job

Wix’s Real Estate Landing Page (Simple) (live demo) is the only template we found on any platform that is unambiguously one home for sale. The demo is a cottage at 500 Terry Francine St, San Francisco — 1 living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 garage, offered at $2,300,000. The nav is four items: Gallery, Info, Video tour, Contact.
The part that separates it from every free template on this page: the call to action isn’t a contact form, it’s a Wix Bookings calendar with live time slots. A buyer picks a viewing time themselves. For a listing, that’s the whole game — you’re trying to convert a browser into a showing.
Wix’s other four single-property templates are worth knowing about:

- Real Estate Landing Page (Stylish) (demo) — the only one with floor plans. Per-unit cards (“Gardenia Apt. · Floors 1–2 · 150 Sqm · 2 Bedrooms · View floor plan”), plus a travel-times block and separate architect and developer bios. Best for a new development with unit types.
- Real Estate Project Landing Page (Contemporary) — editorial and luxury-leaning, with a carousel of residence types.
- Real Estate Project Launch (Classic) — amenity-led: pool, gym, playground, clubhouse cards, then “Choose Your Apartment”.
- Real Estate Firm — the multi-listing one, built on Wix Content Manager with Buy/Rent filters. Not single-property, but it’s the serious agency option.
Two things nobody mentions. None of the five has a map embed — you’ll be adding that yourself. And three different Wix templates are all named “Real Estate Firm” (ids 1792, 1793 and 2524), so search by ID, not name.
Why these never show up in roundups
Wix’s own template search returns a maximum of 12 results. Search “property” or “villa” in it and these five never surface — you have to page through the category to find them. That’s the entire reason a template with a booking calendar and a $2.3M price tag is missing from lists that recommend generic agency themes.
What free actually costs on Wix: the template is free and you can publish on the free plan. You get a siteprefix.wixsite.com/siteaddress URL, 500 MB storage, 1 GB bandwidth — and a Wix banner ad across the top of every page. There’s no custom domain on the free plan; Wix’s help docs are explicit that a Premium plan is required to connect one. The cheapest tier that does is Light at $17/mo billed annually (~$204/year, US pricing, September 2026). No free trial, but there’s a 14-day money-back guarantee.
For a listing you expect to sell in 60 days, the free plan with the banner is a perfectly reasonable trade. For your own brand, it isn’t.
Webflow: two free templates out of 363

Homura (demo) is a one-page architecture-and-real-estate template: navbar, hero, about, properties, services, testimonials, FAQ, CTA, contact. The demo shows four properties in a carousel — delete that one section and you have a clean single-listing page. It’s the better-looking of Webflow’s two free options by some distance.
The other, Homeifye (demo), is a multi-page CMS build with Properties, Property Types, Locations and Listings collections plus a search page.
Here’s the catch worth understanding before you pick either, because it decides the price. Webflow’s free Starter plan allows 2 static pages and publishes to a webflow.io subdomain. Homura is a one-pager, so it fits — you can put it live, for real, at $0. Homeifye is CMS-driven, and the CMS starts on Premium at $25/mo billed yearly. Two “free” templates on the same marketplace, and only one of them is actually free to run.
A custom domain on Webflow starts at Basic, $15/mo billed yearly.
Three more free Webflow templates aren’t filed under real estate but work well for one property: Woodland (one-page architecture), Kaleo and Sunny Lake (both hotel templates, which is closer to a single-property structure than most real-estate templates are).
TemplateMo: free, no strings, and it ships a single-property page

591 Villa Agency is the only real-estate template on TemplateMo — we crawled all 120 of them across eight pages to check. It’s Bootstrap 5.3, and it includes a property-details page whose breadcrumb literally reads “Home / Single Property”: one listing (Apartment, 24 New Street, Miami), a Schedule-a-Visit CTA and an editable Google Maps section. Make that page your homepage and you have a genuine single-property site.
The licence is the most permissive here: free for commercial and non-commercial use, no attribution required. Host it on any free static host and it costs nothing, forever. That’s the only zero-cost, zero-strings option on this page — and it’s the one to take if you’re comfortable editing HTML.
Squarespace: the best design, and you can’t have it free

Palermo (demo) is the best purpose-built single-property template we looked at, on any platform. Its entire navigation is Listing and Contact, with an Apply Now button. One address — 1200 Palermo Rd, Austin — one building, fourteen residences. Nothing on it is trying to be a portfolio.
Squarespace has three more single-property designs: Hidano (a new development: amenities, availability, neighborhood, team), Barbosa and Suffolk (both single hospitality properties, easily repurposed). Cailles is the category’s only real multi-listing demo.
None of it is free. There’s a 14-day trial, then publishing needs a plan: Basic $19/mo billed annually, $25 month-to-month (US pricing, September 2026; Squarespace runs geographic and A/B pricing variants, so check your own checkout). Templates cost nothing extra — all 11 come with any plan.
So the honest trade is: the best-designed single-property template is the one you have to pay $228 a year to use. If design is the point — a luxury listing, a development launch — Palermo earns it. For one listing that needs to be online this afternoon, it doesn’t.
WordPress: 210 themes, one real answer
Palmeria is the only theme in the directory whose design genuinely centres on one property — its own description leads with “hotel, single property, real estate”. It’s built around a single property with an availability search and a reservation form, and needs the free MotoPress Hotel Booking plugin. It’s a booking theme rather than a for-sale theme, which is the caveat.
If you want the multi-listing route instead, ListingHive is the most-used real-estate theme in the directory by a wide margin (9,000 active installs against Palmeria’s 1,000), with categories, search filters and submission forms. NexProperty is Elementor-built with OpenStreetMap support and demo-data import.
WordPress themes are GPL and genuinely free. Hosting and a domain aren’t — realistically $5–15/mo — and most of these are freemium, where the free version is deliberately cut back.
The free HTML libraries
- HTML5 UP has no real-estate templates at all, but its photo-led one-pagers are the best structural fit for a single listing anywhere in the free world: Big Picture (built for very large images), Story, Lens (full-screen photo gallery), Multiverse and Landed. Licence is CC BY 3.0 — commercial use fine, credit required.
- Colorlib has the largest free real-estate library at 39 templates, all agency or directory designs. Stated is the only one-pager, so it’s the easiest to cut down to one listing; Azenta is the closest to a luxury single-listing look. CC BY 3.0, attribution required.
- BootstrapMade has four free real-estate templates — LuxEstate, TheProperty, HomeSpace and EstateAgency — all multi-listing. Free for unlimited domains, but the footer credit line has to stay.
Skip Tooplate; we crawled all 94 templates and there’s nothing real-estate. And ignore anyone recommending free-css.com right now — the domain resolves but every connection times out.
What we’d actually do
If you want a single-property site live today for nothing, still use the Wix Simple template — with your eyes open. It’s the only one that ships with the thing that matters, a live booking calendar instead of a contact form, and the free plan’s banner ad is a fair price for a listing that’ll be sold in two months. Then fix its two weaknesses: write more than 203 words on the page, and add the address as structured data. It scores 55 on mobile and you won’t get that much higher on Wix, so lean on the conversion strengths and don’t expect the page to win search on its own.
If you can edit HTML, use TemplateMo 591. It’s the fastest thing here by a distance — 15 KB, 4.6-second LCP — with no ads, no attribution and no monthly fee. Budget an hour to add what it’s missing: schema, alt text, and an actual enquiry form on the details page.
If the listing needs to be found and quoted as much as clicked, start from Homura. It’s the only one already carrying real structured data and near-complete alt text, which is what an AI engine needs before it will describe your property to someone.
Pay for Palermo only when the design is the marketing — a luxury listing or a development launch. Know that you’re buying the best-looking and the slowest page in this comparison, and that its 0.587 layout shift is worth fixing before you publish.
But be clear about what a template is and isn’t. A template gets you a page. It doesn’t get anyone to the page. The single-property-website companies that do well in search — Rela, for instance — don’t rank for “single property website” at all; they rank for their clients’ property addresses, because each site they host is optimised to own the address and building name it’s about. A beautiful template with no address SEO, no portal distribution and no lead capture is a business card you paid to design.
That’s the part worth spending your time on: making sure the page ranks for the address, gets syndicated to the portals renters and buyers actually search, and captures the lead when someone arrives. Reallyo builds the single-property site automatically from the listing you already entered and handles the distribution behind it — which is the half of the job no template on this page does.
FAQ
Are there any genuinely free single-property website templates? Yes, three. The Wix “Real Estate Landing Page (Simple)” template publishes free on Wix’s free plan (with a Wix banner ad and a wixsite.com URL). Webflow’s Homura is free and, because it’s a one-pager, fits inside Webflow’s free 2-page Starter plan. TemplateMo’s 591 Villa Agency is a free HTML download with no attribution requirement that you can host anywhere. Squarespace has no free option at all.
What is a single-property website? A single-property website is a site dedicated to one listing rather than an agent’s whole portfolio — typically the property’s address as the domain, a photo gallery, room and feature details, the price, a map, and one call to action such as booking a showing. It’s used to market a specific home, and it’s the format most likely to rank for searches of that property’s address.
Why do so few real estate templates work for a single property? Because most are built as agency or directory sites around a portfolio of listings — search filters, listing grids and agent bios. Of 363 real-estate templates on Webflow only 2 are free, and Colorlib’s 39 free real-estate templates are all agency designs. Wix is the exception, with five single-property templates out of 42.
Do I need to pay to use a Wix template? No. Wix templates are free to use and edit, and you can publish on the free plan, which gives you a wixsite.com address, 500 MB storage and 1 GB bandwidth, with a Wix banner ad on every page. Connecting a custom domain requires a Premium plan, starting at Light for $17/month billed annually (US pricing, September 2026).
Which free real estate template is fastest? Of the templates we tested with Lighthouse on mobile in September 2026, TemplateMo’s 591 Villa Agency was fastest with a performance score of 78 and a 4.6-second largest contentful paint from a 15 KB page. Webflow’s Homura scored 76. The Wix templates scored 55 and 67, weighed 3 MB and 3.9 MB, and took over ten seconds to paint. Squarespace’s Palermo was slowest at 38, with a 0.587 cumulative layout shift.
Do single-property website templates include schema markup for AI and search? Mostly not. Of five templates tested, only Webflow’s Homura shipped meaningful structured data (FAQPage, Review, Offer and Person) along with alt text on 96% of its images. Wix’s Stylish template includes LocalBusiness and PostalAddress markup, which helps a page rank for its own address. The Wix Simple template carries only ImageObject, Squarespace’s Palermo only WebSite, and TemplateMo’s has none at all — so on most templates you add the property schema yourself.
Is Squarespace or Wix better for a single property listing? Squarespace has the better design in Palermo, which is purpose-built for one address, but nothing on Squarespace publishes without a paid plan starting at $19/month billed annually. Wix has the more practical template, because its Simple landing page includes a live tour-booking calendar and can be published free. For one listing, Wix; for a development launch where design carries the marketing, Squarespace.

Template counts, licences and prices were checked directly against each platform in September 2026: the Webflow template marketplace and Webflow pricing; the WordPress.org theme directory; Squarespace’s Real Estate & Properties templates and Squarespace pricing; Wix’s real-estate templates and Wix plans; plus TemplateMo, Colorlib, HTML5 UP and the BootstrapMade licence. Screenshots are of each template’s own public demo. Prices are US list prices as of September 2026 and change often — check the platform before you buy.
Speed, structured-data and content figures are our own measurements, taken in September 2026: Lighthouse 12 with mobile emulation run against each template’s live public demo, and the rendered HTML of that same demo parsed for JSON-LD types, heading structure, word count and image alt-text coverage. Demo content is not your content, so those numbers describe the starting point each platform hands you, not the ceiling of what you can build on it.
